IBEW TEC (Training and Education Centre)
IBEW 402 TEC, is a non-profit training facility and approved Training Delivery Agency (TDA) for 309A Construction and Maintenance Electricians and 631A Network Cabling Specialists.
631A Network Cabling Specialist Program: Our school provides Level 1 and Level 2 training in 10-week increments, with at least one program annually and plans to expand based on market demand.
309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician Program: Granted TDA status in Spring 2024, this program is in the development phase, focusing on creating a comprehensive curriculum and staffing to establish a strong foundation for future electricians in Northwestern Ontario.
Tech Tools and Trades Training (T4): This 8-week program prepares prospective electrical apprentices through a mix of hands-on and theoretical training. We offer two sessions annually, accommodating 24 students in total.
Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP): Certified electricians can enroll in this program to specialize in installing Electrical Vehicle Service Equipment.
Health and Safety Training: With our training partners, we offer various safety programs, including Working at Heights, Hoisting and Rigging, First Aid and CPR, and Elevated Work Platform training. aiming to continuously expand our offerings.
